HERMAcolor grey shows good print quality with laser and inkjet printers. The calendered paper surface can be printed using conventional printing methods. Depending on the quality requirements, a primer can be advantageous.
The paper is produced in an ecologically safe method by using colours without heavy metals in compliance with DIN EN 71-3.
Thanks to its high non-fading characteristics, HERMAcolor grey is also used for labelling office files. It is equally well suited for applications demanding a higher opacity.
The pulp for this paper comes from FSC® certified forest management and other controlled sources.
Adhesive 62Z has a very wide spectrum of applications. It is suitable for rough and curved surfaces as well as for synthetic surfaces and packaging films. The adhesive is highly resistant to light, heat and ageing. This supercalendered glassine is perfectly suited for assignment in labelling machines equipped with optical or mechanical scanners.Storing at a temperature of 20 ± 5 °C, a relative humidity of 45 ± 5 % and a dark storage is recommended. Moisture, heat and direct sunlight have to be avoided.
The shelf life is two years from date of production.
All ingredients of adhesive 62Z comply with recommendation BfR XIV or FDA 21 CFR 175.105 (Adhesives).
The pressure-sensitive adhesive 62Z can be safely used for the back coating of labels for the labelling of foodstuffs for storage at room temperature and below. It may be used in direct contact with dry, moist and fatty foodstuffs that can be assigned a correction factor of at least 5 in accordance with Regulation (EU) No. 10/2011. Furthermore, the adhesive may be used for laminating plastic films. In this case, cut edge contact with food is harmless as far as the above mentioned adhesive is concerned. It must be ensured that the relevant migration limits are complied with by the laminated packaging (Declaration of no objection valid until 17.04.2027).
Furthermore the self-adhesive labels with the adhesive 62Z can be used for labelling of blood bags (Expert's Opinion from April 29, 2021).
The paper complies with recommendation BfR XXXVI.Label material
