Application and use

Thanks to its special surface treatment the glossy surface of HERMA PP white extra tc offers an excellent printing quality in all conventional printing methods like e.g. UV flexographic printing.

In combination with the appropriate adhesive, this product is perfect for applications where the removability of the label is required.

This film is not intended for use in unprinted zigzag applications, in which the coated print surface is in contact with itself.

HERMA PP white extra tc is perfect for the production of optically demanding, glossy, non-transparent labels. For recycling reasons these labels are preferably used on PP surfaces. The nacreous look of the film adds an exquisite touch to the labels.

HERMA PP white extra tc is particularly suitable for labelling cosmetic products, cleaning agents etc., as well as for applications demanding resistance to chemicals or weather.

The adhesive 65Tpc specially is developed for applications where very high Tack even under critical conditions is necessary. Thanks to its extremely high tack adhesive 65Tpc is particularly suitable for labelling rubber products, rough PE-containers, wood-based materials and very rough cardboard. In spite of its high coat weight this newly designed adhesive offers excellent die-cutting characteristics. Adhesive 65Tpc is particularly resistant to light, heat and ageing.

The supercalendered glassine is perfectly suited for assignment in labelling machines equipped with optical or mechanical scanners.

The material complies with BS 5609 Section Two (Resistanceto Sea Water).

Regulations concerning contact with food

HERMA PP white extra tc is in compliance with Commission Regulations (EC) no. 1935/2004 and (EU) no. 10/2011 as amended on plastics and articles intended to come into contact with food as well as of Regulat ion (EC) no. 2023/2006 on good manufacturing practice for materials and articles intended to come into contact with food.

All ingredients of adhesive 65Tpc comply with recommendation FDA 21 CFR 175.105 (Adhesives).

The pressure-sensitive adhesive 65Tpc can be safely used for the back coating of labels for the labelling of foodstuffs for storage at room temperature and below. It may be used in direct contact with dry and moist non-fatty foodstuffs, as far as the ratio of the contact area of the label related to the total weight of the foodstuffs does not exceed 1 d²/kg. Furthermore, the adhesive may be used for laminating plastic films. In this case, cut edge contact with food is harmless as far as the above mentioned adhesive is concerned. It must be ensured that the relevant migration limits are complied with by the laminated packaging (Declaration of no objection valid until 06.05.2026).

The paper complies with recommendation BfR XXXVI.
