HERMA LAM is a specially developed label material for marking with a CO2-laser (colour change from white to black).
HERMA LAM with its protective coating is used wherever labels of smudge-proof, solvent and grease resistant paper are required, e.g. for package labelling or for price marking.
Applications on surfaces containing plasticizers are only partially possible, intensive contact with plasticizers, however, might cause fading of the printed image. Please make individual tests for applications on soft PVC films. Recommended for moist and dry applications.
Adhesive 63Z covers a very wide range of applications. Thanks to its aggressive adhesion properties it is suited for an extensive variety of even critical surfaces such as cardboard and ampoules. Likewise it is suited for cold-storage applications on dry surfaces. The adhesive is highly resistant to heat, light and ageing. The supercalendered glassine is perfectly suited for assignment in labelling machines equipped with optical or mechanical scanners.Storing at a temperature of 20 ± 5 °C, a relative humidity of 45 ± 5 % and a dark storage is recommended. Moisture, heat and direct sunlight have to be avoided.
The shelf life is four years from date of production.
All ingredients of adhesive 63Z comply with recommendation BfR XIV or FDA 21 CFR 175.105 (Adhesives).
The pressure-sensitive adhesive 63Z can be safely used for the back coating of labels for the labelling of foodstuffs for storage at room temperature and below. It may be used in direct contact with dry, moist and fatty foodstuffs that can be assigned a correction factor of at least 5 in accordance with Regulation (EU) No. 10/2011. Furthermore, the adhesive may be used for laminating plastic films. In this case, cut edge contact with food is harmless as far as the above mentioned adhesive is concerned. It must be ensured that the relevant migration limits are complied with by the laminated packaging (Declaration of no objection valid until 10.10.2026).
Furthermore the self-adhesive labels with the adhesive 63Z can be used for labelling of blood bags (Expert's Opinion from April 27, 2021).
The paper complies with recommendation BfR XXXVI.Label material
