The glossy surface of HERMA PE white with its corona pretreatment offers an excellent print quality in conventional printing techniques. Before printing we recommend to freshen up the corona pretreatment.
HERMA PE white is perfect for the production of optically pretentious, glossy and opaque labels. For recycling reasons these labels are preferably used on PE surfaces.
Thanks to the high flexibility of this PE film even curved surfaces may be labelled without any problems as well as squeezable packaging.
The adhesive 63F was developed specially for applications where high transparency with low tendency to creep is needed. The combination of a high tack and a high cohesion, which reduces the adhesive bleed, together with a very good final adhesion characterises the 63F. Furthermore the UV-stability is extremely high and wetting on polar surfaces like glass and steel very good. In addition 63F features an extremely good resistance against whitening. The 63F has an excellent resistance to aging, heat, water and light.
The supercalendered glassine is perfectly suited for assignment in labelling machines equipped with optical or mechanical scanners.Storing at a temperature of 20 ± 5 °C, a relative humidity of 45 ± 5 % and a dark storage is recommended. Moisture, heat and direct sunlight have to be avoided.
The shelf life is two years from date of production.
HERMA PE white is in compliance with Commission Regulations (EC) no. 1935/2004 and (EU) no. 10/2011 and subsequent amendment 1245/2020/EU on plastic materials and articles intended to come into contact with food and furthermore with the Commission Regulation (EC) no. 2023/ 2006 on good manufacturing practice for materials and articles intended to come into contact with food. The film may come into contact with dry, aqueous, acidic, alcoholic and fatty foodstuffs.
All ingredients of adhesive 63F comply with recommendation FDA 21 CFR 175.105 (Adhesives).
The pressure-sensitive adhesive 63F can be safely used for the back coating of labels for the labelling of foodstuffs for storage at room temperature and below. It may be used in direct contact with dry, moist and fatty foodstuffs. Furthermore, the adhesive may be used for laminating various materials. In this case, cut edge contact with food is harmless as far as the above mentioned adhesive is concerned. It must be ensured that the relevant migration limits are complied with by the laminated packaging. Furthermore the self-adhesive labels with the adhesive 63F can be used for labelling of blood bags (Declaration of no objection valid until 06.04.2025).
The paper liner complies with recommendation BfR XXXVI.
