Application and use

HERMAnature fieno (340) is made of approximately 25 % grass fibre and 60 % virgin pulp. With its special look and feel, the material creates an authentic natural impression. HERMAnature fieno (340) is printable with offset and flexographic printing. Preliminary tests are recommended. The colour of this paper depends on the grass raw material and can therefore vary from batch to batch. 

Adhesive 42Rpp offers good tack combined with excellent removability from most surfaces, even after long-term labelling. Thanks to its well-balanced adhesive characteristics this removable adhesive is pe rfectly suited for a wide variety of applications. However, the low adhesion of 42Rpp is likely to be insufficient for applications on curved surfaces.The adhesive is resistant to light, heat and ageing.

The supercalendered glassine is perfectly suited for assignment in labelling machines equipped with optical or mechanical scanners.

Processing

Excellent die-cutting characteristics on all customary machines.

As part of a self-adhesive compound HERMA PH (523) offers excellent die-cutting characteristics with all customary flatbed and rotary die-cutting tools.

Storage conditions

Storing at a temperature of 20 ± 5 °C, a relative humidity of 45 ± 5 % and a dark storage is recommended. Moisture, heat and direct sunlight have to be avoided.

The shelf life is one year from date of production.

Regulations concerning contact with food

The paper complies with BfR XXXVI recommendations for direct contact with dry, moist and fatty food.

The pressure-sensitive adhesive 42Rpp can be safely used for the back coating of labels for the labelling of foodstuffs for storage at room temperature and below. It may be used in direct contact with dry, moist and fatty foodstuffs that can be assigned a correction factor of at least 4 in accordance with Regulation (EU) No. 10/2011. The paper complies with recommendation BfR XXXVI.
