The machine-finished surface of the HERMAwhite offers an excellent quality of the imprint with all conventional printing methods. The material is equally suitable for thermal transfer printing and is thus universally applicable. It is also perfect for laser printers.
The pulp for this paper comes from FSC certified forest management and other controlled sources.
The pressure-sensitive adhesive 72C is specially developed for applications where the labelled packaging material, paper or board, is recycled after use. It is not necessary to separate the label for this, as the adhesive 72C does not have negative effects on the recycling path for paper packaging materials. The recycled paper or packaging material can be reused and printed on without any problems. In relation to the total packaging material, the weight share of the label can be up to 25%.
The adhesive 72C can be used in a variety of ways. The application spectrum ranges from logistics or identification labels to high-quality industrial labels as well as rough, not extremely curved surfaces. The pressure sensitive adhesive has good aging, heat and light resistance.
The supercalendered glassine is perfectly suited for assignment in labelling machines equipped with optical or mechanical scanners.
Die-cutting properties are excellent on all common machines.
As part of a self-adhesive compound HERMA PH (523) offers excellent die-cutting characteristics with all customary flatbed and rotary die-cutting tools.Storing at a temperature of 20 ± 5 °C, a relative humidity of 45 ± 5 % and a dark storage is recommended. Moisture, heat and direct sunlight have to be avoided.
The shelf life is four years from date of production.
All ingredients of the adhesive 72C comply with the recommendations BfR XIV or FDA 21 CFR 175.105 (Adhesives).
The pressure-sensitive adhesive 72C can be safely used for the back coating of labels for the labelling of foodstuffs for a storage at room temperature and below. It may stand in direct contact with dry, moist and such fatty foodstuffs that can be assigned a correction factor of at least 4 in accordance with the Regulation (EU) No 10/2011. Furthermore, the adhesive may be used for lamination of various materials. In this case, cut edge contact with food is harmless as far as the above mentioned adhesive is concerned. It must be ensured that the relevant migration limits are complied with by the laminated packaging (declaration of no objection valid until 24.10.2026).
The paper complies with recommendation BfR XXXVI.Label material
