Thanks to its special surface treatment the matt surface of HERMA PP white matt tc offers an excellent printing quality in all conventional printing methods like e.g. UV flexographic printing. Furthermore the film is perfectly suited for subsequent printing with thermal transfer printers. Thanks to its matt surface it has a perfect barcode legibility.
HERMA PP white matt tc can be used for labelling cosmetics, cleaning agents, beverage and food products as well as for applications demanding resistance to chemicals or weather like e.g. in horticulture. For recycling reasons these labels are preferably used on PP surfaces.
The PSA 63Vst is characterized by an extraordinary high tack. Even on critical surfaces tack-level is very high. 63Vst is therefore ideal for cool, moist and even slightly greasy surfaces. Despite the excellent low temperature properties, it indicates very good mandrel-hold and is therefore suitable for curved surfaces and irregular 3D packaging. Once labelled 63Vst is highly waterproof. The supercalendered glassine is perfectly suited for assignment in labelling machines equipped with optical or mechanical scanners. As part of a self-adhesive compound HERMA PW (517) offers excellent die-cutting characteristics with all customary flatbed and rotary die-cutting tools.
Storing at a temperature of 20 ± 5 °C, a relative humidity of 45 ± 5 % and a dark storage is recommended. Moisture, heat and direct sunlight have to be avoided.
The shelf life is two years from date of production.
HERMA PP white matt tc is in compliance with Commission Regulations (EU) no. 1935/ 2004 and (EU) no. 10/2011 on plastic materials and articles intended to come into contact with food with all amendments: Commission Regulation (EU) no. 321/2011; (EU) no. 1282/2011; (EU) no. 1183/2012; (EU) no. 202/2014; (EU) no. 865/2014; (EU) no. 174/2015), (EU) no. 1416 / 2016; (EU) no. 752/2017; (EU) no. 79/ 2018; (EU) no. 213 /2018; (EU) no. 831 /2018; (EU) no 37/ 2019; (EU) no. 988/2019; (EU) no. 1338/ 2019 and (EU) no. 1245/2020 as well as Regulation (EC) no. 2023/2006 on good manufacturing practice for materials and articles intended to come into contact with food and also US FDA 21 CFR 175.300, US FDA 21 CFR175.320 and US FDA 21 CFR 177.1520.
All ingredients of adhesive 63Vst comply with recommendation BfR XIV or FDA 21 CFR 175.105 (Adhesives).
The pressure-sensitive adhesive 63Vst can be safely used for the back coating of labels for the labelling of foodstuffs for storage at room temperature and below. It may be used in direct contact with dry, moist and fatty foodstuffs that can be assigned a correction factor of at least 2 in accordance with Regulation (EU) No. 10/2011. Furthermore, the adhesive may be used for laminating various materials. In this case, cut edge contact with food is harmless as far as the above mentioned adhesive is concerned. It must be ensured that the relevant migration limits are complied with by the laminated packaging (Declaration of no objection valid until 15.12.2027).
Furthermore the self-adhesive labels with the adhesive 63Vst can be used for labelling of blood bags (Expert's Opinion from December 16, 2021).
The paper liner complies with recommendation BfR XXXVI.
